Hollywood Casino and Joan Rivers
In February, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course purchased an interesting new Daktronics LED display (41 separate displays placed together in a 77’ long serpentine curved structure with gaps and columns…check it out here and here) and were set to open to the public in the middle of February. Well, they had a fantastic display, but nothing to put on it, so they came to Keyframe for help.
We provided them with creative and production consultation and eventually produced a nice, long loop of some pretty awesome, high-concept content (see the video for one of the spots we created). Our creative team really did a great job.
Everything went smoothly during the “soft-opening”. We were on hand for their first few days just to give them some “peace-of-mind” since everything was so hectic for the folks at the casino.
When they were finally ready to open for realsies at the beginning of March, they pulled out all of the stops with a Hollywood-appropriate “Red Carpet Event” complete with Joan Rivers (sorry, no Melissa). The feedback from the crowd, the client, and Joan was incredible. Everyone turned their attention to the display because of the content and watched the live video playback of the event rather than fight to get a closer look amongst the crowd.
The content looked fabulous, and everyone involved was pleased with the help Keyframe provided. These are the types of projects I love working on.
